DC JazzFest

Yesterday, I attended the DC JazzFest at The Wharf. I have been attending the JazzFest for a number of years now, but this is the first time I’ve ever attended the festival at its new location, The Wharf. It used to be held in the Navy Yard, but I believe last year, it was moved. I did attend last year, but went to the ticketed opening of the JazzFest which was held at City Winery. Memorial Day and A Week Home

At the last minute I decided to go home for Memorial Day and stayed the week. I sustained a minor injury (pulled muscle) and couldn’t run so thought it was a good time for some rest. I felt like I had a knowledge gap as to his overall life and role in British politics. It was not until after I ordered this book that I realized that … Continue reading Currently Reading: Churchill: Walking with Destiny

Leading up to Easter weekend, there was a series of farewells. One such farewell was from her coworkers, who wanted to have a send-off dinner for her, and kindly invited me to join them. The dinner was at Pinstripes in Georgetown and was very nice. It was my first time at Pinstripes, and I felt that the venue was a great place for hosting a large number, like … Continue reading A Hopping Easter
