Recently Watched: Bosch

Summary in three words: Kinda messed up

Reaction: This show was originally recommended to my father, and I decided to give it a try. Currently, I am through the first two seasons out of the five that have been released. Really enjoying it. The second season was a little slower than the first, but still good. The show is based, to some degree, on three books by executive producer Michael Connelly. It plays out like a thriller. There is a lot of suspense. It can get pretty dark at times, and reminds me of shows like Dexter. While I am really enjoying this series, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys detective shows, I don’t think it is for everyone. I can see the darker moments of the show being a turn off for some viewers. However, I should mention Bosch to this point is not overly violent for a cop show, it just deals with dark themes. This is the first Amazon show that I have really enjoyed. It’s also the first cop show I’ve gotten into in a while. If anyone else is watching this, or has watched the series before, let me know your thoughts in the comments below. I will definitely be finishing all five seasons. Also, if you have any recommendations for other good shows on Amazon, please pass along.
