Currently Listening To: The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast

Many of you are probably already familiar with The Joe Rogan Experience. Although this podcast was referred to me several times I ignored it up until a few weeks ago. If you have not yet listened to it, I highly recommend it. The topics vary greatly but center around whoever the guest that week is and their views, experiences, etc. Two episodes I recently liked and want to highlight here are #1212 – David Goggins and #1236 – Jack Dorsey.

David Goggins is a retired Navy Seal and an ultramarathoner. I recently read his book, Can’t Hurt Me, which was great and I highly recommend it. The podcast, like the book, centers on David’s life experiences and what he overcame to become the man he is today. It’s a very motivational story and worth the listen.

Jack Dorsey is the co-founder and CEO of Twitter. I found this podcast interesting in the sense that you normally hear of Twitter in the news for the wrong reasons, and getting the CEO’s perspective of the ultimate goals for the company and social media, in general, was insightful. Also, his comments about how we as consumers do not typically read Terms of Service agreements I found intriguing. I know I typically do not read these agreements, they are too long and boring, but now that social media is supposed to safeguard so much of our personal information it would be nice to figure out a way to have these agreements presented in a clearer manner.
